Covid-19 Safety Policy

Committed to the highest level of Safety

As we look to return to the studio and work our way back in to some sort of new normal, it is important to outline the new measures that will be put in place to keep you all safe in the studio, clinic and workplaces.

We are a clinical centre and as such, restörr Health are governed by the regulations of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and not those of the fitness or leisure industry. Physiotherapy is a medical service and therefore our clinical team are considered essential healthcare workers. We are able to provide our services both physiotherapy and Pilates in our studio to help with your health and wellness.

Some important details to familiarise yourself with before attending our restörr Health studio

Personal Protective equipment/Face coverings

During physiotherapy treatments: To keep everyone safe, full PPE including apron and masks will be worn by our Physiotherapist as determined by government regulations. All clients entering the clinic must wear a mask at all times.

During Pilates classes: Pilates teachers are required to wear a face protection in small enclosed environments where social distancing cannot be maintained, therefore your Pilates teacher may be wearing a face shield or mask when moving around the room. Face coverings for clients attending Pilates classes are required on entering and leaving the studio, but you may remove once you are settled on your mat. We will be doing minimal hands on corrections during the class and rely on verbal cues instead. If hands on adjustments are appropriate, your teacher will wear a mask.

Hand sanitising and washing

Please sanitise your hands when entering the clinic. You will find Sanitisations stations throughout the clinic and studio. Hand washing is encouraged before your Physiotherapy or Pilates session, and again before leaving the studio.

Social distancing

Please observe social distancing between yourself and other clients. Our studio classes are currently limited to 6 participants to allow for safe distance when practicing.

Staggered session times

We have scheduled extra time in between all of our appointment to allow for time between clients arriving and departing the premises to avoid too many people being congregated in one space at a time. This will also allow enough time to disinfect, clean the areas and equipment after every session.

Our heightened deep cleaning process

Top grade disinfectant and deep-cleaning process
As was advised prior to lockdown, we will continue to use a recommended COVID disinfectant in all common areas before and after your session (physiotherapy, 1:1 Pilates or class)- with heightened attention to all touch surfaces.

Ventilation

Where possible, windows will be left open to ensure constant air flow through the clinic and studio. This is to ensure the risk of airborne transmission is minimal. If you request a home visit, please ensure a window is open in your home.

Arrival protocol

Physiotherapy/ 1:1: Please arrive no earlier than your appointment time. Do not enter the clinic no more than 2 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive early, please wait in your car until it is time for your appointment. You will be directed to the designated area once in the clinic.

Small group Pilates: Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your designated class time. If you arrive early, please wait in your car until 5 minutes before your class is due to start. Your teacher will direct you to the studio one at a time maintaining distance between each other. You will be asked to take your shoes off and leave them behind your mat stepping on to the mat once you have done this. At the moment, all Pilates participants are required to wear socks.

Additional Pilates information

You will be encouraged to use your own mats and equipment where possible and it is your responsibility to disinfect prior to attending your class.
Please keep your possessions to a minimum (car keys, drinks bottle- drinks station will not be available at the clinic).

All Pilates bookings will be done via an online system and spaces will be limited to allow for social distancing.
